How to embed a 360° virtual tour in WordPress

Google Street View offers 360° panoramic imagery for millions of locations worldwide, including business interiors. This tutorial shows you how to embed these experiences on your WordPress site.

What you need

  1. WP Google Street View plugin (free or Pro)
  2. A Google Maps API key (setup guide)
  3. Coordinates of a location with Street View coverage

Step-by-step

1. Install and configure the plugin

Follow the installation guide and API setup.

2. Create a new map

Go to WP Google Street View → Add New. Select Google Street View as the map type.

3. Enter the location

Type the address in the autocomplete field, or enter coordinates manually. The live preview will show the Street View panorama.

4. Adjust the view

Drag to rotate the view to the exact angle you want visitors to see first. The heading, pitch, and zoom are saved automatically.

5. Publish and embed

Click Publish. Copy the shortcode (e.g., [wpgsv id="42"]) and paste it into any page or post.

Embedding an interior tour

If the business has interior Google Street View photography, the panorama at those coordinates will automatically show the interior. You may need to adjust the heading to start at the entrance or a key feature of the space.

Quick embed with [wpgsv_map]
