Cloudflare setup
Cloudflare works perfectly with WP Google Street View. Here are the recommended settings.
DNS and proxy
Ensure your domain's DNS records in Cloudflare are set to Proxied (orange cloud). This enables Cloudflare's CDN and security features.
SSL/TLS
Set the SSL mode to Full (Strict). Google Maps API requires HTTPS, and Cloudflare handles this automatically.
Caching
Cloudflare caches static assets (CSS, JS, images) by default. The Google Maps API scripts are loaded from maps.googleapis.com and are not affected by Cloudflare's cache.
Rocket Loader
If you use Cloudflare's Rocket Loader feature, it may delay the loading of the Google Maps JavaScript. If maps are not rendering:
- Go to Speed → Optimization → Rocket Loader
- Either disable Rocket Loader entirely, or add the Google Maps script URL to the exclusion list
Cloudflare APO
Cloudflare APO (Automatic Platform Optimization) for WordPress is fully compatible. No special configuration needed.
