Map styles Pro
Map styles change the visual appearance of the Google Maps layer — colors, labels, road styles, and more. The Pro version includes 5 built-in presets and support for fully custom JSON styles.
Built-in presets

| Preset | Description |
|---|---|
| Default | Standard Google Maps appearance |
| WY | Light, clean style with muted colors |
| Modest | Dark blue theme with white labels |
| Ultra Light | Almost white map with minimal visual noise |
| Shades of Grey | Fully monochrome dark theme |
Custom JSON styles
Paste any Google Maps style JSON to create a completely custom look. You can generate styles using:
- Snazzy Maps — Browse and download thousands of free map styles
- Google Maps Platform Styling Wizard — Google's official style editor
- Map Style Editor — Documentation reference
How to apply a custom style
- Copy the JSON array from your style source
- In the WPGSV editor, go to the Styles tab
- Select Custom Map Styles
- Paste the JSON in the textarea
- Click Preview to verify, then Save
Style compatibility
Map styles apply to the Google Maps and Synchronized view modes. They do not affect Street View panoramas (Street View uses Google's own photographic imagery).
